LSE performed full-time construction inspection and testing services for MDOT’s Grand Rapids TSC on M-40 near Hamilton. The project included 6.99 miles of HMA widening, reconstruction, cold milling and resurfacing, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA upgrades, culverts, sewer, drainage, detail 8 joint repairs, chip and fog sealing, pavement markings, slope restoration, and sign replacements. 

The wide variety of construction activities on this job required a wide range of inspection skills and construction knowledge from our team on-site. This stretch of M-40 remained open to traffic during construction, so site safety was a top priority.  As always, the team had to work closely with a variety of contractors to ensure specifications were met and a quality product was built.
